A presentation in Knoema is a sequence of slides, similar to what you create in Microsoft PowerPoint. Each slide is like a page; you fill the placeholders on the slides with gadgets. After you save the presentation and share it with the Knoema community, you and other site users can play back the slides in sequence.

Before you create a presentation, find the gadgets that you want to include, and add them to your gadget bin. To add a gadget to the gadget bin, click the gadget's menu button , and choose Add To Gadgetbin from the list of commands that appears.

You may review the current contents of the gadget bin by clicking its icon in the upper right corner of the navigation bar.

Once you have added all the gadgets that you wish to use for your presentation, click Make A Presentation. This link appears directly under the navigation bar on most pages of the site.

Knoema opens the interface for building and editing presentations. To add a slide to the new presentation, click the Add Slide link in the toolbar.

Knoema displays the Layout Options dialog box. To add multiple gadgets to the slide, choose one of the layout options and then click OK; to add a single gadget to the slide, simply click OK without choosing a layout option.

Now fill the placeholders on the slide with gadgets from your gadget bin. To do so, click the Select Gadget button in any placeholder. The site displays the Select Gadget dialog box. Under the Gadget Bin tab, choose the gadget to put inside the current placeholder, and click Select.

Continue adding gadgets and slides to your presentation. The site displays thumbnails of your sequence of slides in the strip along the bottom of the browser window.

To save your presentation, click the Save link in the toolbar.
