The Central Bureau of Statistics is a non-ministerial government agency directly responsible to the President. Previously, BPS was the Central Bureau of Statistics, established under Act No. 6 of 1960 on Census and Law Number 7 Year 1960 on Statistics. As a substitute for both laws, Law No. 16 of 1997 on Statistics is stipulated. Based on this Act which is followed up with the law below it, formally the name of the Central Bureau of Statistics was changed to the Central Bureau of Statistics.
Data used in the publication of Health Statistics 2016 comes from the results of the National Socio-Economic Survey Module on Health and Housing (Susenas MKP). This publication is a continuation of Health Statistics 2004 and Health Statistics 2013. The Publication of Health Statistics 2016 provides health information relating to health insurance, health efforts, and medical expenses, clean and healthy life, family planning and maternal and neonatal care.
