Apple is an amazing company, in last decade has taken it's products to a new level of innovation and perfection. No to mention that they also have mastered the art of luring the buyers to the store the moment the products are availavle. Their products are the ones that when malfunction, people get happy - another opportunity to buy new. Mr. Jobs did a great job.
On a different note, Apple's iPhone revenues in 2012Q1 alone are more than the total revenues by all the productlines on MicroSoft including Office and Windows. Amazing isn't it.
