The primary activity of The Bundesbank’s is monetary policy, with a help of which Euro system impacts indirectly on the overall changes in prices. OECD, IMF, UN, and EC prove that the consumer price inflation significantly grew from 0.4% in 2016 to 1.7% in 2017. According to OECD, IMF and EC it continued to grow in 2018 while UN claims it remained the same as in 2017.
All the sources except IMF estimate the consumer price inflation in Germany to grow in 2019. Further forecasts predict its further growth in 2020 except for the EC one: it supposes a slight decrease of the inflation rate in 2020.
