Finances index illustrates the soundness of a country’s financial system and the level of returns to savings and investment and the preservation of the purchasing power of savings. It is the arithmetic mean of the institutional strength index and the investment environment index, which is calculated as the geometric mean of six indicators of the soundness of government finances and the strength of the financial system mentioned bellow.
