All States provided estimates for public supply, domestic, irrigation, livestock, aquaculture, industrial,mining, and thermoelectric power water use. The USGS Mineral Resources Program (MRP) provides scientific information for objective resource assessments and unbiased research results on mineral potential, production, consumption, and environmental effects. The MRP is the sole Federal source for this information. Values of 2019 are estimated.

PAD-US is America’s official national inventory of U.S. terrestrial and marine protected areas that are dedicated to the preservation of biological diversity and to other natural, recreation and cultural uses, managed for these purposes through legal or other effective means. Lands in PAD-US are mainly open space/resource lands owned in fee by agencies and nonprofits.
