United Nations Economic Commission for Europe

UNECE's major aim is to promote pan-European economic integration. UNECE includes 56 member States in Europe, North America and Asia. However, all interested United Nations member States may participate in the work of UNECE. Over 70 international professional organizations and other non-governmental organizations take part in UNECE activities.

Definition: Data provided refer to the proportion of persons who used a computer in the last three months preceding the survey over the total population of corresponding sex and age group. A computer is defined as a multi purpose machine, a personal computer, powered by one of the major operating systems, i.e. Macintosh (Apple), Linux or Microsoft (Windows XP, NT or Vista). PDAs (handheld computers or palmtops) are included. Other equipments with embedded computing technologies, e.g. cell phones, TV sets, washing machines and dish washers are not considered as computers. .. - data not available Country: Armenia Additional information (2004 - 2008): Data refer to percentage of persons using computers in households covered in Integrated household living standards survey.
